Worship at West Galax is traditional, yet casual and welcoming.  Worship happens every Sunday at 11 a.m. and is a great place to start.  Come and join us!

What happens in worship:

Music

Every worship service includes hymns and special music performed by a choir.

Prayer

In worship, we pause to lift up prayer requests of the community.  We pray for each other, the church, the community, and the world.

Scripture & Sermon

Each Sunday, we read from the Bible together, and our pastor preaches a sermon explaining how the text for today relates to our lives.

Communion

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate The Lord’s Supper, or Communion.  Communion is an opportunity for us to renew our relationship with Jesus Christ. In this meal, we take bread and grape juice to remember Christ’s sacrifice and celebrate our new life through His death and resurrection.  God offers this relationship to everyone, so all who desire to receive are welcome to participate, regardless of church membership or age.
